NAEYC Week fo the Young Child banner - 2011

The Week of the Young Child (April 10th to April 17th) is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the nation’s largest organization of early childhood professionals. This week-long celebration recognizes and honors more than 35 million young children as well as families, teachers and others who help them make the most of their learning opportunities in the early years.

In honor of this year’s theme, Early Years are Learning Years, the spot…a Child’s Museum is holding its first birthday celebration at the Prescott Gateway Mall, a partner in supporting young children and their families.

Open on Friday and Saturday, April 15th and 16th, from 1-5 PM children will be able to explore and discover aspects of science, mathematics, engineering, history and art present in their world. They will be able to participate in activities that stimulate their critical thinking and problem solving skills.
