The Children’s Museum Alliance, Inc. respects childhood and honors the family unit. We know that parents are the primary “teachers” in a child’s life and we want to support families in their venture and their adventures of raising their children. We acknowledge that the term “parent” has a broad definition and we welcome the diversity of our parents.

The CMA, Inc. also believes that play is the primary vehicle for learning with young children. Our exhibits, programs and activities will be focused on the early development of children, the brain research, the authorities on play, dynamic theories of learning, and the collective experiences and backgrounds of the professionals on our Board and those who serve on our committees.

Each and every one of our current and former Board members is a parent. We have all experienced the joys and hardships of raising children to be contributing members of our growing and changing society. Many of our Board members and committee members are former teachers who find that in retirement, building a children’s museum is an effort that will be forever valuable to children.

Please share our excitement in developing this unique museum for your children, those who live in the surrounding communities, and those who visit our fine City. This premier destination site will offer a deep understanding of the world around to each of our young visitors.
