What is the history of your existence?
- The project was initiated in 2004.
- Incorporated in 2007 and received 501(c)3 status in 2008.
- We have an eleven seat board.
- We are an all volunteer organization.
- We are a member of the Association of Children’s Museums.
Why is admission charged for both adults and children?
- As a children’s museum we promote adult/child interaction and discovery.
- Let your child be your guide to the exhibits as you find the child within you.
What are your regular museum hours?
- We are currently open every Friday and Saturday from 1 to 5 PM.
What kind of exhibits do you have?
- We focus on ages 2-12 in the STEM areas (science, technology, engineering and math).
- The fine arts, history, and culture are embedded in the exhibit structure.
How do you determine the cost of the exhibits?
- Museum industry standards set from $350 to $700 per square foot.
- The current exhibit was designed and fabricated by local scientists, engineers and educators who believe in discovery learning and in our mission focused on children.
Do you have any special programs?
- Yes, we sponsor periodic Saturday morning events as well as provide special reserved times for birthday parties, celebrations, and group events.
Do you have memberships available?
- Not at this time.We are currently developing that program.
- We have a ticket program that costs $20 for four tickets and provides entry for one adult and one child at a $.50 reduction per ticket.
How are you funded?
- We gladly accept donations/sponsorships from individuals, businesses and corporations.
- We hold periodic fundraisers and actively seek grants and partnerships with others.
- Organizations we have partnered with, past and present are: Yavapai Prescott Indian Tribe, WestCor Mall, YMCA, Kiwanis, SRP, Macayos, Barnes and Noble, Soroptomist Club, Unisource Energy Services, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, CASA, Juvenile Courts.
