Christina Hecht, B.S. - Secretary

General Manager, Southwest Media Communications

Christina Hecht has over a decade of experience in Arizona travel and tourism, ranging from property-level sales & marketing for a resort-style hotel to her present role as General Manager of Southwest Media Communications, an interactive marketing and web development company based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

She received a Bachelor of Science from Southern Utah University in Communications with dual emphases in Advertising & Public Relations and Interpersonal Communication. She has parlayed her education and hands-on learning into a career in online, interactive and social media.  In her role as General Manager of Southwest Media, Ms. Hecht is responsible for managing staff and project deliverables for web development, search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) clients, both internal and external.  She also leads her company's sales and marketing initiatives and acts as the single point of contact for over 200 advertising and web development customers.  Ms. Hecht brings to the Board her aptitude in developing and maintaining the museum's website; measuring, managing and implementing search engine optimization efforts; managing email marketing campaigns; and spearheading social networking presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and more. Ever mindful of the board's long-term goals and objectives, Ms. Hecht is enthusiastic about working closely with the board to steer museum initiatives, provide feedback and manage the bottom line.

Ms. Hecht, as a representative of her company's leading geo-domain, Prescott.com, has a passion for Prescott as a tourism destination and has been actively involved in recent efforts to promote Prescott to travel writers, the travel and tour industry and individual tourists around the state and country. As a mother of a four year-old, Ms. Hecht is also passionate about helping to realize the dream of building a world-class children's museum in Prescott.
